A Koplin Partners Firm

Consulting With Purpose

Koplin Advisory Group is a boutique consulting firm serving nonprofit and public sector organizations in youth services and homeless services — exclusively.

About Us

The Case for Koplin Advisory Group

"The leaders we serve are some of the most dedicated people in the country. They deserve a consulting partner who genuinely understands their world — not one who is learning it at their expense."

We are a mother-daughter firm founded on a combined 35+ years of direct sector experience, graduate-level nonprofit management education, and a genuine commitment to the mission of the organizations we serve.

01

The Right Niche

Youth and homeless services exclusively. Deep specialization beats broad generalism every time.

02

The Right Credentials

An LCSW with 30 years of sector leadership plus an MPA with nonprofit management specialization.

03

Both Sides of the Work

We cover the program side and the business side — a combination most consultants can't offer.

The Founders

Two Specialists. One Family.

A mother and daughter — two generations of service, two distinct disciplines, one unshakeable mission. Together we bring what no single consultant can offer.

Mina Koplin

LCSW · Co-Founder · 30 Years, Salt Lake County Youth Services

Mina has spent her entire career at Salt Lake County Youth Services — building one of the most respected youth and homeless services careers in Utah. She brings 30 years of frontline clinical and program leadership: supervising staff, managing complex programs, working directly with youth in crisis, running prevention programs, and overseeing large-scale youth services operations.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she brings the sector depth, clinical credential, and program expertise that no business consultant can replicate.

Sophia (Koplin) Peña

MPA · Co-Founder · Nonprofit Management & Strategic Planning

Sophia brings the business discipline and formal nonprofit management education that mission-driven organizations most often lack — bridging the gap between vision and the operational infrastructure needed to sustain it. She holds a Master of Public Administration with a specialization in nonprofit management, is experienced in grant writing, and serves on the board of a Utah nonprofit supporting abused, neglected, and at-risk youth.

She is the strategic and operational engine of Koplin Advisory Group.
